Postdoctoral Fellowship Opening :

Dr. Ryan Herringa and the BRAVE Research Collaborative (BRC; https://brave.psychiatry.wisc.edu/ ) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work at the interface of clinical and neurodevelopmental science and lead analytical investigations exploring brain-body mechanisms of vulnerability and resilience to childhood trauma and psychopathology during adolescence.

The BRC has recently completed data collection for two large neuroimaging studies for which data the postdoctoral researcher will be involved. These include: 1)   a longitudinal neuroimaging study investigating the childhood trauma as a unique biophenotype of internalizing disorders in adolescence, and 2) a multisession neuroimaging study of direct and vicarious extinction learning as a mechanistic contributor to early adolescent PTSD. These rich data sets will provide the candidate with ample opportunities for data analyses and publications over a short period of time given that all data collection is completed.

The postdoctoral researcher will primarily be responsible for conducting multi-modal analyses across structural and functional neuroimaging, psychophysiology (e.g. skin conductance response, heart rate variability, etc.), and behavior (e.g. emotion regulation, working memory, and mental health symptoms).

The desired candidate will be a highly motivated individual willing to work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. They must currently hold or soon receive a PhD in Neuroscience/Psychology/Engineering/Computer Science/related fields and will preferably have experience in collecting and analyzing neuroimaging data. Applicants from diverse backgrounds of training and experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Interested applications are encouraged to reach out directly to Dr. Ryan Herringa (herringa@wisc.edu) with a short cover letter detailing your interest and research experiences and a current CV.
