Emotional Development Study
You and your caregiver will take part in a structured clinical interview assessing mental health symptoms and trauma history. You and your caregiver will also complete questionnaires assessing mental health symptoms and health history. You (the child) will be scanned in an MRI and provide saliva, hair, and urine. We will also send you home with a kit to collect your feces. You and your caregiver will also complete some tasks on a computer while we measure your body’s reactions. These study activities are repeated every year for two years.

Parent-Child Learning Study
First, you and your caregiver will take part in a structured clinical interview that assesses mental health symptoms and trauma history. You and your caregiver will also complete questionnaires addressing similar topics and general medical history. You and your caregiver will complete a three-day learning task, during which you may feel a mild stimulation. You (the child) will complete the task while in the MRI scanner, while the caregiver will complete the task on a computer while we measure body reactions. You (the child) will also provide saliva, hair, and urine samples. At the final visit, you both will complete additional computer and cognitive tasks, some of which you will work together on. Approximately 6 months later, we will ask you to complete a number of additional online survey questionnaires.
